Owner, Speech Language Pathologist
Sara is a graduate of The University of Cincinnati and had many years of experience prior to opening her own private practice. Sara has owned Community Speech Services (CSS) for the past 20 years and has been successful at serving this community in many ways. She and her husband, Walt (audiologist) pride themselves on the “open door” policy here at CSS. She and her husband reside in Green and have 3 grown children and love their beautiful dog! If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to speak with Sara and she will be happy to assist you!
Clinical Director, Speech Language Pathologist
Carole graduated with her Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Kent State University. She enjoys working with both pediatric and adult populations. In her free time Carole enjoys spending time with her husband Anthony, her cat Urban and dog Raney.

With over 20 years experience, Jill has a special interest in working with the preschool and school age populations. She enjoys working with phonological/articulation and language disorders. Jill also works with students who have autism, aspergers, and ADHD to improve their social skills and executive functioning. She has a family with 2 daughters and loves to watch them in track & field and dance.

With over 20 years experience, DeAnn possesses expertise in working Alternative and Augmentative Communication and adults and pediatrics with developmental disabilities. She also truly enjoys working with adults who have dysphagia and children with articulation and language needs. DeAnn lives with her husband, 2 daughters, a cat, and her sweet golden retriever. In her spare time she is a volleyball/soccer/girl scout leader mom who loves reading and camping.

Alyssa graduated with a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Toledo. She enjoys working with a wide range of individuals, including those from toddler to geriatric populations. Alyssa has a passion for communication and particular interest in working with individuals with delayed or acquired language disorders and fluency disorders. She also has an interest in improving the abilities of individuals with dysphagia. Alyssa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exploring new cities, and taking walks in her free time.

Janelle graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a MA Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Her areas of special interest and expertise are with adult swallowing disorders and neurogenic communication disorders. She is trained in completing and interpreting MBSS using the MBSImP protocol, trained on trachs and PMSVs, attended a FEES training course, and is MDTP certified. She is also experienced in the evaluation and treatment of children with speech and language disorders. Janelle currently provides services in acute care, LTACH, inpatient rehab, SNF/ECF, and outpatient office settings. She is married and enjoys reading, attending Ohio sporting events, and home improvement projects.

Kristen graduated with her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Kent State University. She has experience with school age populations and enjoys working with adults with acquired speech and language disorders. Kristen loves working with children with expressive and receptive language disorders and creating fun and interesting activities to teach language through experiential learning. During her free time, Kristen likes trying out new recipes and cooking techniques, reading in the shade and spending time with her husband and pets.

Melanie has many years of experience and expertise! Melanie has worked with the pediatric population from birth-21 in a variety of settings in our facility, hospitals and private, public, and charter schools. She has worked with adults with swallowing problems, and speech and language needs as an outpatient and inpatient settings. Melanie is married and has 3 children. Her children keep her busy with their sport schedules and activities. In her free time, she enjoys reading, walking, and riding her bike with her family.

Brittany received her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Cleveland State University. She has years of experience working with pediatrics, specifically with autism and special needs populations. Brittany has special interests working with early intervention and child development. She is also experienced with alternative and augmentative communication. Brittany loves making a difference in the lives of the people she works with and their families. In her free time, she enjoys being with her family, pets, and friends.

With 17 years of experience, Kris excels in helping clients find the most appropriate augmentative communication device and has a special interest in working with adults with Developmental Disabilities. Kris also has many years of experience treating adults with dysphagia and various types of neurogenic disorders. Kris is married, has two children and loves playing tennis in her free time.

Lesli Has 18 years of experience and specializes in working with adults with dysphagia and various kinds of neurological disorders. Lesli has performed many Modified Barium Swallow Studies in the acute Care Setting and truly loves helping her patients achieve their goals. Lesli is married and has two children. Lesli enjoys reading and loves to go for a nice long run!

Carolyn has 20 years experience and enjoys working with adult neurology, adult swallowing, and AAC. She has experience in acute, rehab, outpatient settings as well as home health and extended care facilities. Her specialties include modifed barium swallows as well as trachs and vents. Carolyn is married with 2 daughters and she enjoys walking, reading, boating, and water skiing.

Alyssa graduated with her Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from The University of Akron. She enjoys working with the pediatric population in an outpatient and school-based setting. In her free time, Alyssa enjoys traveling, attending musicals at Playhouse square, and spending time with her husband Preston, son Porter and 2 cats, Simba and Maynard.

Kasey earned her Master’s Degree from The University of Akron. She really enjoys working with the pediatric population, from early intervention to school-age. Her special interests in treatment include articulation/phonology disorders, receptive/expressive language delays, childhood apraxia of speech and AAC. Kasey is passionate about providing efficient parent training to allow children to carry over skills learned in therapy and reach their full potential. Some of her favorite things outside of work include her dog, Samson, and Cleveland sports. In her free time she enjoys playing softball, running, and spending time with friends and family.

Brenna graduated with her Master’s from the University of Akron in 2020. She enjoys working with a variety of populations but has a sweet spot for elementary school-age students and clients. Her favorite part of being an SLP is making a difference for children and families and helping children gain confidence in their communication skills. In her spare time, Brenna enjoys working out and being a homebody with her husband Alec and dog Tucker.

Emily graduated with her Master’s from Cleveland State University. She enjoys working both children and adults, but has a special interest in early language intervention and working with elementary age children. One of her favorite things about being a Speech-Language Pathologist is being able to create a meaningful connection with both clients and families to create a positive impact on their communication abilities. In her free time, Emily likes to read, play board games and spend time with cat, Olive!

Brooke graduated with her Master’s from Baldwin Wallace University. Throughout her education, she developed a strong interest in working with the pediatric population, specifically focusing on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and Autism. One of the reasons she loves being an SLP is the opportunity to give children a means of communication that suits them best, allowing them to express themselves confidently. Brooke finds it incredibly rewarding to witness their growth and see how providing them with a voice can truly transform their lives. Brooke enjoys indulging in various hobbies. She has a pet dog named Snoopy that she enjoys taking on long walks and enjoys socializing with friends and occasionally binge-watching the latest trending shows to unwind and enjoy downtime. Brooke loves to travel and says “exploring new places and immersing myself in different cultures broadens my perspective and fuels my sense of adventure.”

Isabelle graduated with her Master’s from Kent State University. She enjoys working with all age groups and likes having a diverse and interesting therapy day with a special interest in treating aphasia and apraxia of speech. One of her favorite things about being a Speech-Language Pathologist is building relationships with clients and watching them build confidence as they meet their speech and language goals. In her free time, Isabelle enjoys spending time with her cats Mochi and Tachi, going for walks with her boyfriend, drawing, painting and singing.

Mitch graduated with his Master’s from Kent State University. He enjoys working with both pediatric and adult populations, with special interests in the areas of early language development through play-based interventions, augmentative alternative communication (AAC), expressive language delays and disorders in school-aged and adult populations, and swallowing. One of his favorite parts of being a Speech-Language Pathologist is watching the progress a client makes and seeing both the client’s and family’s excitement as they build upon their communication skills both inside and outside the therapy room. In his free time, Mitch enjoys spending time with friends and family, checking out new restaurants, going for walks outside and watching cooking shows.

Madeleine graduated with her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Thiel College. She enjoys working with both children and adults, and loves working on early intervention and social skills. One of Madeleine’s favorite things about being a Speech Pathologist is getting to know and help other people, and getting to help families understand their loved ones a little better. In her free time she enjoys playing music, playing cozy games, and hanging out with her two dogs, Lily and Gracie.
